Itinerary:

Welcome to the Land of the Pharaoh

 

As you arrive at the Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative to assist you Through the customs formalities. You will then be transferred by an air-conditioned coach to your hotel For check-in and stay overnight. The representative will review the itinerary with you to confirm pick-up Times for each tour .

After the Breakfast meal, we cross to the west bank of the Nile in Luxor to visit the Valley of the kings, which was the necropolis of the New Kingdom Pharaohs. 63 tombs have been found there and numbered on the maps in the order of their discovery,  (Entrance ticket to three tombs), while the tomb of the boy king Tutankhamun is optional with extra Ticket.

Afterwards, We visit the amazing partly rock-hewn Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut 1507 BC at Deir el-Bahri. It is a breath taking sight. Then, we proceed to the Colossi of Memnon, Soaring 18 meter high & originally guarded Amenhotep’s mortuary temple 1390 BC.

N.B., if you did visit the valley of the kings and the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut before, you can Replace them with the Mortuary Temple of  Ramses the 3rd at Medinet Habu, which is 2nd Only to Karnak Temples in size and detail with reliefs that reach 27 m showing an oversized Ramses Scattering  enemies from his chariot. As well as Egypt’s sole relief of a naval battle against the sea Peoples.

Then, we head to the Valley of the Workers at the village of Deir al-Medina ,where the Craftsmen, , servants & labourers who worked on the royal tombs lived in that village. Its tombs provide A rare insight into the lives of ordinary people in ancient Egypt.

Instead of visiting of the valley of the workers, we can enjoy seeing the Valley of the Nobles, that is Made up of more than 400 tombs mainly from the New Kingdom, providing an invaluable insight into Daily life in the New Kingdom (Entrance ticket to two tombs). Then, return to the ship for Lunch & Afternoon tea while sailing to Edfu via the Esna lock. Dinner on board and overnight in Edfu.

   

     After the Breakfast meal on Nile Cruise, we visit the well-preserved ptolemaic Temple of Edfu dedicated to the falcon headed god of kingship and protection called Horus. This most preserved temple In Egypt was built by Ptolemy the 3rd in 237 BC. Then we go back To the cruise for lunch and keep Sailing till we reach the town of Kom Ombo, which is surrounded by Fields of sugar cane and corn. That Location was so important to the caravan routes from Nubia and Various gold mines. Where, we will visit its imposing Greek Roman Temple of Kom Ombo Overlooking the River Nile. It was dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god & to Horus the falcon-headed god. It was begun by Ptolemy The 6th in the 2nd Century BC. A museum near its place houses 40 Crocodile mummies that have been found in the nearby necropolis. Then we continue sailing to the city of Aswan. Dinner and overnight on Board the Nile Cruise.

   After Breakfast on Nile Cruise, enjoy a day’s Sightseeing in the city of Aswan. which was the ancient Egyptian gateway to Africa and the home of Many granite quarries from which most of the obelisks seen in Luxor were sourced. Start with the High Dam, which is an embankment dam built across the Nile And built between 1960 and 1970. Then, we Head to The island of Philae, one of the rescued and relocated monuments after the building of Aswan dam in 1898-1902, where we can explore its amazing temple that was dedicated to the goddess Isis the divine mother of the pharaoh.

Afterwards, we visit the largest known ancient obelisk ( the Unfinished Obelisk), which is located in The northern region of the stone quarries. The bottom side of the obelisk is still attached to the bedrock. If finished it would have measured around 42 m long or 137 feet long and would have weighed nearly 1,200 tons. Return to the ship for lunch. Dinner on board. Overnight in Aswan.

Disembark after breakfast. Then you will be transferred to Aswan airport to fly to Abu Simbel, upon arrival at Abu Simbel Airport you will be transferred by a private air-conditioned vehicle to embark Your 05 star Lake cruise. Check-in Abu-Simbel on board. Lunch on board, then visit Abu Simble Temples.

The Great Sun Temple of Ramses the 2nd and the Temple Of queen Nefertari. Both Outstanding temples were discovered in 1813, it was almost completely covered with sand. Then both Temples were moved in 1960 By the help of Egyptian Government and UNESCO to avoid the rising Water of the Nile. Ramses II built the temple mostly to honor himself as inside there is a mural depicting His famous victory at Kadesh Battle where his army defeated his enemies. Nearby, is the Nefertari Temple which was built by Ramses II to his favorite wife Queen Nefertari.

Breakfast will be served while sailing to Kasr Ibrim. Arrive at Kasr Ibrim. Tour conducted from the ship’s sun deck as entrance to the site is Not permitted. Lunch is served while sailing to Amada. Visit the temples of Amada and Derr as well as the tomb of Penout, A relaxing afternoon sail to Wadi El Seboua. Dinner and overnight aboard the Lake cruise.

In the morning visit to Wadi El Seboua, the temples of Dekka, and Moharaka. Lunch on Board. Sail to Aswan while dining and overnight on board.

Check Out in Aswan after breakfast, then Visit the Kalabsha Temple, Beit El Wali and the Kiosk of Kertassi. Then transfer from Aswan to Luxor about 03 hours driving. Overnight in Luxor.

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your tour Guide to visit Karnak and Luxor Temples in the East bank, which are considered the greatest Open-Air Museums and probably the second most visited historical site in Egypt after the pyramids of Giza in Cairo. Both were famed throughout the ancient world and have attracted tourists since Greek and Roman times . Transfer back to your hotel and overnight in Luxor
